The Sturman Law Group was founded by Jeff Sturman, who has practiced Family Law since 1996 and is a Certified Family Law Specialist. Jeff started his career as a tax attorney and handled many complex business litigation cases. Thereafter, Jeff focused exclusively on the practice of Family Law because he prefers representing individuals and he enjoys the wide range of challenges that are typically encountered in Family Law cases. Jeff has handled hundreds of Family Law cases. He has been selected as a “SuperLawyer,“  and as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” for Family Law for more than a decade.

Jeff is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and he served as the President of the Southern California Chapter in 2017-2018. He was formerly a partner at one of the premier Family Law firms in the Unites States. Jeff is well known for his passion for the law and he is a trusted source for sophisticated legal analysis. He guides and counsels his clients through complex, difficult and emotional issues that arise during Family Law cases. Jeff is a frequent lecturer on various Family Law topics in California and abroad. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, daughter and French bulldog named Axel. 

Karina started her legal career as a business litigation attorney for a few highly ranked national firms. During her practice, she represented corporations, partnerships and individuals in a broad range of complex business disputes. The cases involved entertainment litigation, real estate, products liability and employment litigation. Since 2007, Karina has been exclusively practicing Family Law while applying the same tenacity and result-driven approach to her clients’ legal issues.

Karina’s clients find that they can also count on her for counseling on a number of personal issues inherent to the Family Law process. She offers a support system while helping clients gain clarity and establish a vision for their future. Karina makes sure that the legal strategy employed does not overshadow the importance of the client’s wellbeing. She is focused on resolving the cases with a compassion driven approach by way of settlement or trial.
